WE GO SOLAR!

Today we have again moved forward in the world of self sufficiency. We have fitted a 3kw solar inverter and 16 Photovoltaic Modules onto the roof.

The power generated by panels is channeled into the mains grid during the day and in the evening we buy the energy back an a lesser rate.

hopefully we will not be paying any electricity bills ever again.....

Today I am extremely Excited....

Today I'm extremely excited about something in my not too distant future...

No major details yet but there's someone extremely special in my life and I am hoping it blossoms into something beautiful.

I'm sending positive vibes to the universe and asking for help from the triangle guardian ;-)

The difference between sadness and depression

It's a fine line but it's a clear line and it's clear to me now

Goodbye Brunswick City Baths

Of late I have taken to starting the day with a swim at the Brunswick City Baths.

Unfortunately it closed its doors for the last time yesterday as the council have an 18 month renovation taking place.

It's a shame as I really enjoy having an outdoor dip after a sweaty workout in the gym. Lets hope the renovation doesn't blow out and we can all enjoy the new facilities sooner rather than later.

Never go swimming with your iphone in your pocket

I went to the gym last week and wore my swimming shorts. Obviously by the post title I forgot to remove my iphone form my pocket before jumping into the pool. The iphone was subjected to
  1. A gym workout (working)
  2. 10 Laps of Brunswick Baths outdoor pool (probably not working now)
  3. 15 minute spa (hhmm not looking good)
  4. 15 minute steam room
While sitting in the steam room I realised there was something in my pocket.... I had a little giggle to myself then went to the change rooms to assess the damage. The phone look extremely clean ;-)

On my return home I was extremely surprised to find that the phone actually worked, well kind of. When plugged into itunes it came to life however it spat the dummy when trying to restore the software.

I then pulled the phone to bits, put it in a box with some desiccant and ordered a new battery as the current one was blotted and swollen.

I think it's either the battery, hard drive or both that's buggered

when the battery arrives I'll update this post.

I still have high hopes that this will work one day.

I murdered my underpants!

Im sure I'll read back over this in years to come and laugh or cringe!

I was walking down St Georges Road when I became aware of just how fucking annoying my underpants had become.

The elastic had given up the ghost many months ago, but being the kind of guy I am I get attached to things like old comfy jocks and I was extremely reluctant to part with them. These undies were over 10 years old and extremely comfy. However on this day I had simply had enough of feeling they were constantly about to fall off.

I stopped, and with an almighty whoop I puled them out of my jeans. Below you can see the results. The front half came away and out of my jeans perfectly but the rear half and part of the gusset became wedged in my ass crack. This was now even more uncomfortable than my original dilemma. There I was hopping about on St Georges Road with my hand down my jeans trying to free my wedged gusset form my bottom. Anyone who knows St Georges Road knows it's not a quite street and not a discreet place to be hopping about with your hand deep down in your pants.

After a little gentle persuasion my bottom gracefully released my underpants and they were freed from the grip of my buttocks.

Do we dream backwards?

Last night I had very intense (dark) dream. I won't go into the details but upon waking I began to recall the dream i realised i was recalling it in reverse. From the end to the beginning do we all do this?

The Power of Triangle!

Last week I was relaxing on my couch listening to Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of The Worlds on vinyl. After a period I saw an image of a triangle in my mind. The corners of the triangle were pulsing and changing hue to the changes in the melody and emotion of the music.

I have now became acutely aware of the power of triangles!

6 hours traveling through time and space would have been aided by my ingesting a large number of mushrooms that we had collected earlier that day from a local park.

TO THE POINT

Last night there was a documentary on Benoit Mandelbrot. the inventor of the Mandelbrot set.

Needless to say I was dumbfounded to find out that the primary geometrical shape thats used for the Mandelbrot set is a triangle... Scientists use Mandelbrot to measure things in the natural world. was it Synchronicity? was it Fate? Enlightenment? or Heightened Awareness?

WHO KNOWS!
